Publications Director Jobs

A publications director is primarily responsible for successful launch of all the publications of the firm. The specific duties of a publications director position is being responsible for the performance of all the members in various publishing teams; providing vision and leadership to the entire organization; providing inputs to management in the management of the firm; allocating resources to the division members; attracting best possible manpower for the publishing division; motivating various publications teams and acting as interface between the top management and the operations managers. A publications director typically reports to the vice president.

A publications director should have a master\'s degree in mass communications or journalism. Excellent academic credentials and strong background in the area of publications management are essential. Prior experience gained from a publications director position is surely advantageous.
