A healthcare recruiter is responsible for recruiting healthcare professionals for a broad variety of employers. Specific duties of a healthcare recruiter position may include contacting employers through telephone calls or personal visits, getting information about their current needs for man power, getting a list of available positions, visiting job portals in order to get information about more employers and applicants, contacting prospects to inform about new opportunities, guiding prospects at various stages of the recruitment process, meeting and exceeding recruitment targets for specific periods and performing several other tasks. A healthcare recruiter typically reports to a recruiting manager.
A healthcare recruiter should have a four-year degree. Familiarity with various positions and jargons in the healthcare industry are essential. Prior experience in healthcare recruitment is desirable.
