Pennsylvania’s digital and robotics companies created 343 new jobs in fiscal year 2008, an economic development group announced this week.
Of those jobs, 99 were lost, leaving a net gain of 244, according to The Technology Collaborative.
Eight new companies were formed in the region, bringing the total since 2000 to 54.
Since 2000, the total number of digital and robotics-related jobs created in Pennsylvania stands at 2,295. Of those, 1,406 jobs still exist.
The Technology Collaborative is a non-profit, member-driven, technology-based economic development organization focused on starting, attracting, and growing robotics, cyber-security and digital technology companies.
