Northeast Ohio struggles with job losses

Northeast Ohio has seen nearly 7,000 jobs disappear recently as companies in the area continue to lay off workers.
This region of Ohio is historically industrial and economists are worried if the area may suffer permanent damage due to the economic crisis.
Areawide employment figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for January through October were consistently lower than those from the same months of 2007.
According to government data, the worst job losses are in the Elyria-Cleveland-Mentor and Akron areas.
