Finance Manager Jobs

A finance manager is one of the key members of the finance department of an organization. Typical duties for a finance manager include reviewing, preparing, and leading annual budget, financial statements, and periodic forecasts; performing variance analysis and account reconciliations; mentoring or coordinating with financial analysts, research analysts and accounting personnel; developing dynamic financial models and driving strategic analysis; and training and mentoring team members. Depending on the organizations type and size, a finance manager reports to a finance director, senior manager, executive director of accounting, or chief financial officer.
A finance manager should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. A CPA, CFA, MBA or similar qualification may be advantageous. Familiarity with GAAP, SEC reporting, and/or SOX requirements is essential for some positions. Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions and due diligence projects is a plus.
