Architectural Technician Jobs

An architectural technician is responsible for assisting the architects, engineers and project managers; working with the CAD designers to provide redline drafting; preparing detailed drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of architecture designs; making use of computers and architecture related software; attending meetings and training sessions; assisting in preparation of training manuals; visiting construction project sites; working on special projects; making relevant views of buildings; preparing schematics; and performing other tasks assigned by an architectural engineer or architectural manager. An architectural technician typically reports to an architectural engineering manager.
An architectural technician should have a bachelor's degree in architecture engineering. Excellent academic credentials are required. Prior experience as an architectural technician is advantageous. Strong ability to visualize graphics and interpret things quickly is essential.
