The PR executive position is a junior-level position perfect for entering into the field of public relations. PR executives are also referred to as PR account executives and are responsible for executing communication plans aimed at the given target audience, understanding marketing strategies, and implementing marketing communication plans on websites and other media.

A public relations executive actively participates in press conferences, media relations, and in-house PR activities. A public relations executive assists the PR manager in planning new strategies for promotions and in influencing public opinion. A PR executive is also responsible for meeting with clients and keeping them posted on new promotional schemes and media plans. The primary duty of a PR executive is to establish and build good working relationships with clients and the media while acquiring a firm understanding of consumer behavior.

A degree in mass communications, public relations, or journalism is typically required for a PR executive position. Naturally, an aspiring PR executive should also have a pleasing personality and good communication skills. He/she should also be computer literate and have some experience in advertising or marketing.
