Senior Programmer Jobs

A senior programmer is responsible for performing various responsibilities like interacting with business customers, in troubleshooting; resolving data, setup, and code issues; coding enhancements and corrective measures in an evolving application; testing and debugging new features prior to release; deploying, implementing and maintaining application; understanding full business processes; assisting in prioritization of enhancement and defect resolution; writing internal and customer reports to support evolving business needs; attending meetings; training new programmers; coordinating with graphic designers; meeting project deadlines; reworking on the projects after receiving feedback from clients; performing other tasks assigned by the project manager. A senior programmer typically reports to a project manager.
A senior programmer should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a relevant field in engineering. Excellent academic credentials are required. Strong ability to make use of programming languages is essential. Excellent analytical skills are essential for a senior programmer position.
