Automotive Tech Jobs

An automotive tech person is responsible for diagnosing the cause of malfunctioning of automotives as per factory standards; guiding auto mechanics on repairing or replacing parts of a vehicle; installing and repairing air conditioners, compressors, and condensers; testing electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure that they are working properly; communicating with parts manager to obtain needed parts; educating automotive mechanics on new trends in the area; handling documentation of all work performed; attending training classes; ensuring that vehicles are kept clean by auto mechanics; performing other tasks assigned by automotives service manager. An automotive tech person typically reports to the automotives service manager.

An automotive tech person should have a high school diploma and a certification to work as an automotive technician. Prior experience as an automotive technician may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are required for an automotive tech position.
