Delta Air Lines Cuts Back
Because of high gas prices and a weakening economy, Delta Air Lines has decided to cut its flight plans in half by keeping 45 jets on the ground and
However, according to New York-based analyst for FTN Midwest Research Securities Corp. Michael Derchin, "Delta's cuts were better than expected. They're really trying to take out a significant amount of capacity."
Other airlines cutting back include UAL Corp. and JetBlue Airways Corp., which is selling four of its aircraft.
