A National Association of Colleges and Employers survey reported that employers had planned on hiring 16% more new graduates in 2008; however, because of the downturn in the economy, the percentage has been cut in half.
Because of this, Koc says, "I'd be very careful about rejecting an offer early on if I got one, and I might broaden my target areas."
