For now, the job market can breathe a little easier—110,000 workers were added last month by the U.S. economy, increasing the once dismally low data for July and August, as well as the unemployment rate, which rose from 4.6% to 4.7%.

Fields where jobs were added include service-providing industries as well as health care and food services; however, two industries suffering losses include the manufacturing industry, which has decreased by 18,000 jobs in September and the construction industry, which has decreased by 15,000 jobs.

Yet even with a slight increase in the job market, "employment data have been subject to sometimes sizable alterations in recent months, and of course September's numbers could be changed higher or lower in coming reports," says an article.
