Since the end of June, Google has hired more than 2,130 new employees, and the company doesn't expect to stop. However, analysts have voiced concern over the hiring increase. Daren Chervitz, director of research at the Jacob Internet Fund, said that "if the general economy slows in the future and drags down Google's advertising revenue...[the company is] going to have a tough time reining in the beast they've created." Chervitz also said that while Google seeks to hire the best and the brightest, doing so in a three-month period with more than 2,000 new hires, seems difficult to accomplish.
