Today, fewer jobs are being created than in the 1990s, and according to a Labor Department economist, "Job churning is slowing down." New and growing businesses added 7.5 million jobs in the year's first quarter; however, the tally shows the "slowest pace of job creation on record," says NYTimes.com.
Without newly created jobs, rising job cuts are something to dread. As more and more employers slash jobs and fewer and fewer businesses create jobs, there will be an unhealthy balance in the job market.
