In November 2007, advertising/marketing-services employment reached 763,700, a new high since the economic recovery that began in 2001. Marketing consulting was tagged as the hottest sector, having witnessed a hike of 8.7% from 2006 to 2007 and 66.7% since 2000. Online media, where employment jumped 24.2% from 2006 to 2007, was rated the fastest-growing segment.
