Regarding information jobs, which include film-related work, many were affected due to the writers' strike. Of the 75,800 job losses in Los Angeles County, 20,000 were caused by the strike.
According to economist Steve Levy, "the state has entered a period of slow or negative economic growth that is likely to persist for at least a few months."
