Many of the cuts will not affect on-air employees but rather technical and support personnel. Five employees on The Early Show, however, will be laid off.
ABC, meanwhile, plans on cutting 20 jobs. But nothing compares to NBC's plan to cut 700 jobs by the end of 2008. Already, 30 employees have been laid off, and more will soon be given notice in New York, Los Angeles, and Washington.
