Since 2005, Ford has cut approximately 40,000 jobs, and according to Alan Mulally, Fords' chief executive, there will be more "targeted job losses to come." For those who remain, schedules may change depending on the demand for vehicles. Less demand will generally mean "reduced time" for employees.
"Plant by plant and vehicle by vehicle, we will size that production capacity to that demand," said Mulally.
