Here is how you can do it:
- Drink lot of water: A night like that dehydrates you, so drink as much water as possible so that you can make up for the lost fluids. You can get hold of sachets of rehydration powder to mix into your drink. They have a nasty taste, but they do the trick. Don’t take coffee because it gives you the opposite effect on hydration.
- Morning rituals: Go through all your morning rituals like brushing your teeth, and having a shower. Don’t skip this part though you may run late. Of course, don’t forget to have a clean shave so as to look 100 percent fit.
- Take a pill: Take an ibuprofen pill that works wonders. Stick to the usual dose. Be sure you have gone for non-drowsy option. Or you can go for any of those hangover cures available on the pharmacy shelves.
- A bit of exercise: If you have the strength, go to the gym and sweat out the booze. Try the steam room if you can’t stand the treadmill.
- Eat something: Some like to have real breakfast but some don’t like any food after heavy drinking the previous night. You can ideally opt for fruit to boost your vitamin levels.
- Solitary day: If you don’t have the confidence, cancel all engagements, and have a solitary day without any interruptions. Devote time to clean up your email inbox or go through reports which you have not done for some days.
- Don’t lie: If you are caught by your boss don’t tell him stories. Admit the truth. Most bosses must have had the same experience at some point of their career.
- Bunk office: If you think you might be sick in office and might create a scene, call the office in a croaky voice and say you are sick. This option is okay, if your colleagues or your managers don’t know that you passed out last night.
