What gifts admin professionals prefer

Administrative Professionals Day is an occasion to express gratitude to those who run your office and keep it fit. Don't worry about what to gift them. Here is a shopping list you can rely upon.

The list includes the gifts that are actually what the professionals want. Recently a survey of a group of internationally known administrative professionals lists the five gifts preferred by them.

Here is the list:

• A day off with pay. The date is at their convenience.
• A gift certificate to a restaurant, hotel or play your admin can attend with his or her spouse.
• A bonus or raise.
• Payment for career-development seminars or training.
• A massage, preferably at a spa, preferably somewhere exotic.

The one gift that occupies the sixth place is a lunch at a restaurant. Remember your admin doesn’t like you to talk shop. It should be short enough to get back to work.

Showing gratitude just on that one day isn’t enough. Respect and gratitude should be year-round. Extend some respect for the important role they (admin professionals) have in the success your business. Constant show of gratitude for jobs well done is more than what they get as gifts on that one day.
