The demand for homes and cars has increased which created and opened doors of employment for claims careers especially in the insurance industry. An insurance claims employee can be a processor, clerk, or anyone who works directly with the claim process. The claims clerk is usually the first contact person of the client if there is a problem, an issue or concern. The processor will process the complaint and oversee the customer’s policy. The adjuster will then get the full details, contact the client and inform the client about the claims and procedures.

Insurance claims employee have many benefits. They have the opportunities to travel and work in the field not only in the office. It is needed in the job to investigate, collect information or see the situation of the clients in order to make good decisions. They are also given the chance to undergo training and other opportunities to grow and learn.

Following the investigation, he will decide how each claim will be resolved. One of the responsibilities of the Claim Examiner is validating the claims. In validating the claims, the claim examiner reaches out to the person and makes a report. He will investigate through getting the medical and other statements and records. The claim examiner is also task to monitor the medical treatments, review medical bills of the claimants to make sure that it does not go beyond what is required, keeps records of each case and attends hearings related to the claimant’s case. The requirements for this job includes being close and attentive to details, has good written and verbal communications skills, knows how to follow up cases and clients, preferably has a bachelor’s degree, must be organized , has state license, has previous experience in this field and is abreast of the changes in the law. The applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in COE, AOE, subrogation, psyche, liability, fatality, and apportionment, willful and serious investigation. It is an advantage if the applicant has an investigation experience in mortgage fraud and is a bilingual.
