Hard Hitting Statements

Here are some examples of hard hitting user benefit statements which use action and result oriented words. Your specialized letters and resumes should contain similar sentences. Read the statements from ALL areas since this will help you create your own material. Use numbers when possible. Hard hitting statements are powerful selling tools to use if an ad says to phone. A screening phone inter-view is often done before you obtain a personal interview.

Sales - Marketing
  • Improved customer liaison through the effective use of letters, telephone and sales calls.

  • Revitalized my assigned sales area with new customer oriented displays. Sales increased and actual profits leaped forward since department overhead did not drastically change.

  • Wrote a product promotional booklet which was instrumental in increasing the sales of several major products.

  • Developed and implemented in 18 months a sales program which improved the sales to establish accounts by 20 percent as well as creating new accounts.

  • Established new markets for products by effectively contacting a variety of firms.

  • Developed and presented sales training programs for retail sales clerks. Six months following these programs sales increased by 25 percent.
