
The articles in this section examine the nature of occupational information and some procedures for promoting career information, including some personality correlates that have an impact on the information one obtains.
The reader is alerted to the conflict inherent in the essence of occupational information, the activities necessary to getting that information across to pupils, and its meaning in directing the behaviors of students for career development. Perhaps the focus should be put on the possible misuse of procedures to alert pupils to the view that career education and vocational guidance are composed of a fusion of several events that are integral parts of a process of exploring, choosing, and developing in a career.
