Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Global Projects Transactional Associate Attorney with a strong construction contract background and energy industry experience. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of relevant experience, including managing teams, drafting contracts, and analyzing complex legal issues.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance.
• Manage teams of legal professionals, working closely with partners and supervising junior associates.
• Analyze and synthesize new information related to projects and client needs.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients in the energy industry.

Requirements:

• 3 or more years of experience working on construction contracts of various types, as specified.
• Experience managing a team and working closely with partners or supervising junior associates.
• Strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities.
• Interest in the energy industry and clients’ businesses.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to providing excellent substantive work and client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
