Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for injured clients through negotiations, hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of medical and legal records to develop strong case strategies.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals and experts to gather evidence for cases.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to keep them informed of case developments.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and trial strategies.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, ensuring deadlines and case milestones are met.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, or North Dakota.
  • Experience in personal injury law or related legal fields.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the office in Wausau, WI, and meet clients as required.
  • Previous experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with depositions, hearings, trials, and client negotiations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Certifications and Skills:

  • Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, or North Dakota.
