The candidate will work for the Real Estate/Business law firm whose practice focuses on real estate/business disputes, construction law/defect, with an emphasis on common interest developments seeks a motivated attorney. Should have 5 years of litigation experience to handle all phases of litigation, including court appearances, discovery, mediations, and trial support. Juris Doctorate degree and current good standing with CA State Bar is required. Excellent litigation skills required. Deposition and trial experience required. Detail-oriented and self-starter required. Compatible personality and positive attitude required. Strong organizational, analytical, effective oral communication and writing skills required. Research skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting required. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, including PDF editing required. Proficiency with Westlaw required. Will appear in court, argue motions, and participate in trial. Write briefs and perform legal research. Draft discovery documents and assemble discovery responses. Draft pleadings and legal correspondence. Interact with clients.
