Junior Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney in Los Angeles with 3-4 years of commercial litigation experience. The Junior Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for running cases from start to finish in collaboration with senior attorneys. They will manage client relationships, serve as a point of contact for opposing counsel, draft legal briefs, and guide strategic decisions in complex litigation matters. This role requires managing multiple deadlines and tasks for various clients at once, assessing legal risk, and researching complicated legal questions. Exposure to intellectual property litigation, entertainment litigation, corporate disputes, and/or real estate litigation is a plus. Trial experience is preferred. Strong legal writing and research skills are a must, along with the ability to manage multiple matters and stay on top of deadlines.

Duties:

• Run cases from start to finish in collaboration with senior attorneys
• Manage client relationships
• Serve as a point of contact for opposing counsel
• Draft legal briefs
• Guide strategic decisions in complex litigation matters
• Manage and coordinate with partners, paralegals, and assistants on matters
• Manage multiple deadlines and tasks for various clients at once
• Assess legal risk for clients
• Research complicated legal questions
• Exposure to intellectual property litigation, entertainment litigation, corporate disputes, and/or real estate litigation
• Trial experience preferred
• Strong legal writing and research skills are a must
• Ability to manage multiple matters and stay on top of deadlines, strong organizational skills
• Ease in managing client relationships
• Able to supervise matters throughout the entire life cycle (pre-litigation counseling, and handling litigation from inception through trial)
• Able to run cases and manage paralegals and assistants

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of commercial litigation experience
• Trial experience preferred
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Ease in managing client relationships
• Experience in supervising matters throughout the entire life cycle

Education:

JD from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the California State Bar
