Duties

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases

• Attend and argue cases at WCAB hearings

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Conduct depositions and interviews with clients and witnesses

• Maintain case files and meet billable hour requirements

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and legal staff

Requirements

• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in workers' compensation defense

• Strong litigation interest and courtroom experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting

• Willingness to travel for mandatory in-person hearings

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
