A well-established law firm in Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights practice. This position is ideal for an attorney with a strong interest in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings. Location:

• Indianapolis, IN

Duties:

• Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings

• Manage all stages of case preparation, from initial client consultation through discharge

• Draft and file legal documents, including bankruptcy petitions, motions, and pleadings

• Attend 341 meetings and other court hearings

• Advise clients on bankruptcy processes and debt relief strategies

• Maintain and update case files in accordance with legal and ethical standards

Requirements:

• Prior experience in bankruptcy law preferred (2+ years ideal but not required)

• Strong understanding of U.S. Bankruptcy Code and court procedures

• Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail

• Commitment to client service and effective communication

• Willingness to travel locally for court appearances and client meetings

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the Indiana State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Empathetic approach to client representation

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting

• Familiarity with bankruptcy filing systems and related technology
