Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications, ensuring complex technical inventions are described with clarity and legal precision.

• Develop and implement strategies to address evolving patent law challenges, such as subject matter eligibility issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering timely and effective legal counsel.
• Meet production goals while adhering to client budgets and deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
• Proven ability to draft clear, comprehensive patent applications and persuasive office action responses.
• Familiarity with current legal issues in patent law and the ability to develop proactive solutions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and self-directed work ethic.

Education

• A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in one of the following technical disciplines:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Materials Science

Certifications

• For Patent Agent candidates, active registration and good standing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) are required.
