Job Overview:
A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an experienced Construction Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional litigation skills and a strong background in handling construction-related matters.

Duties:

• Work closely with clients to provide legal counsel and representation in construction law matters.
• Independently manage a caseload, overseeing cases from inception to resolution.
• Handle court appearances, including hearings and trials, as well as depositions and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Requirements:

• 7-12 years of experience litigating construction cases.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong background in litigating construction cases.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions.
• Ability to manage multiple short-term tasks effectively.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida and be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Board Certification, or eligibility for Board Certification, in Construction Law preferred.
