Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated business litigation associate with at least five years of experience in international trade and customs law and supply chain litigation. This position is based in Washington, D.C., though candidates may also be considered for other locations.

Duties

• Advise companies on U.S. import and export regulations, including customs valuation and tariff classification.
• Handle country-of-origin issues and compliance with evolving trade policies.
• Litigate supply chain and commercial disputes.
• Draft pleadings and motions, and develop case strategies.
• Manage matters independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Court of International Trade preferred.
• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills
