Associate Attorney needed for Wilmington office

A law firm in Wilmington, DE is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their practice. The ideal candidate will have robust writing, drafting, and editing skills, with significant litigation experience in Delaware state courts, particularly in the Court of Chancery. A Federal, Chancery, or Delaware Supreme Court clerkship is beneficial. Experience in Delaware federal courts is not required but considered a plus.

Duties:

• Handle complex litigation matters primarily in the Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware state courts.
• Draft and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy and arguments.
• Manage case files, including preparing for and participating in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Interact with clients to provide updates, gather information, and discuss legal strategies.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case development and management.
• Monitor and analyze case law and procedural changes relevant to Delaware courts.
• Provide recommendations and strategies based on legal research and case analysis.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the Delaware State Bar.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience in Delaware state courts, with a focus on the Court of Chancery.
• Strong writing, drafting, and editing skills.
• Federal, Chancery, or Delaware Supreme Court clerkship experience is highly beneficial.
• Experience in Delaware federal courts is a plus but not required.

Education:

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Delaware State Bar.
