A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in White Plains, NY, to join its Commercial Litigation and Trusts & Estates Litigation Practice Groups. This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a motivated attorney with 4-6 years of experience to engage in complex legal matters and grow within a collaborative team.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motion papers, discovery demands, and correspondence.
• Manage litigation matters from initial pleadings through trial.
• Appear for conferences, oral arguments, and other proceedings.
• Develop case strategies and communicate with clients, adversaries, and court staff.
• Conduct and defend depositions, including client preparation.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus.
• Experience in commercial litigation and/or trusts & estates litigation preferred.
• Knowledge of New York Supreme Court and Surrogate's Court procedures preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
