Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to manage residential and commercial foreclosure litigation matters throughout the State of Florida. This role is based in Saint Petersburg, FL, and offers flexibility in work setting, including in-office, remote, or hybrid options based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of residential and commercial foreclosure litigation from case inception through trial.
• Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
• Maintain professional and effective communication with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Conduct depositions, evidentiary hearings, mediations, and court appearances, both in-person and remotely.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
• Manage an active caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Minimum of one year of litigation experience, including discovery, depositions, evidentiary hearings, and trial preparation.
• Experience in foreclosure litigation is preferred but not required.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal technology, case management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel as needed. Most proceedings are currently conducted virtually via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership and good standing with The Florida Bar.
