Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare pleadings and motions.
• Respond to discovery requests.
• Investigate cases and appear at court hearings.
• Participate in trial and appellate practice.
• Prepare files from inception to resolution.
• Communicate extensively with clients and insurers.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
• Admission to New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania State Bars is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in defense litigation preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
