Duties

• Advise financial institutions on depository and payments law issues

• Prepare and review deposit account agreements and cash management documentation

• Provide legal counsel on compliance with federal and state data security and breach laws

• Manage multiple client matters efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment

• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely legal solutions

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial services law related to payments and depository issues

• Strong understanding of federal and state laws concerning data security and breaches (preferred)

• Experience drafting and negotiating banking documentation

• Ability to handle complex legal issues with accuracy and professionalism

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New York (required)

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of payments, cash management, and depository law

• Familiarity with cybersecurity and data breach compliance matters
