Job Overview:

A leading law firm based in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a seasoned attorney to join its collaborative and full-service legal team. This role focuses on providing exceptional legal counsel in the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy transactions, while also offering a platform for the growth and management of a personal client portfolio.

Duties:

• Represent financial institutions, developers, sponsors, and institutional investors in renewable energy transactions.
• Provide strategic legal counsel for structuring, negotiating, and closing energy project finance deals.
• Maintain and grow a portable book of business within the renewable energy sector.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve client goals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in energy project finance or related legal practice areas.
• Established a portable book of business within the renewable energy industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and client relationships.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with a willingness to become admitted in Iowa promptly.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with a State Bar in the U.S.
• Eligibility for or current admission to practice law in Iowa.
