A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, strong litigation experience, and the ability to provide advice and counseling to clients in various industries. This role involves conducting research, developing strategies in employee relations matters, preparing legal documents, attending court hearings, and maintaining effective client communication.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support employment law cases.
• Develop strategies and provide advice in employee relations matters.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions and other court filings.
• Attend court hearings and take depositions as needed.
• Provide regular updates to clients and partners on case progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the firm's success.

Requirements:

• Law Degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current membership and good standing with the California Bar.
• 7+ years of litigation experience, preferably in labor and employment law.
• General business litigators with an interest in transitioning to employment law will also be considered.
• Prior experience in a law firm or professional environment.
• Excellent research and drafting abilities with effective resource utilization.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Proactive problem solver with the ability to think strategically.
• Warm, calm, and professional phone and email communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an engaging personality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, law firm billing, and case management software.

Education and Certifications:

• Law Degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current membership and good standing with the California Bar.

Skills:

• 7+ years of litigation experience.
• Employment defense experience preferred.
• Proactive and comfortable advising clients in various industries.
• Excellent research and drafting abilities.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, law firm billing, and case management software.
