Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Real Estate Senior Associate or Counsel with over six years of experience in commercial transactional real estate to join their team in Stamford, CT. This position involves advising clients on complex transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and real estate due diligence in support of mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will lead matters, work directly with clients, and manage transactions through closing.

Duties

• Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
• Serve as the day-to-day lead on matters, managing timelines and deal execution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate key documents such as purchase and sale agreements and leases.
• Conduct and oversee real estate due diligence, including title and survey reviews.
• Support corporate transactions by managing real estate components and resolving deal issues.
• Supervise junior associates and coordinate with paralegals and other practice groups.
• Communicate directly with clients and counterparties to efficiently drive transactions forward.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Over six years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
• Strong experience in leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and sale-leasebacks.
• Demonstrated experience with real estate diligence, including title review.
• Ability to manage transactions independently and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and client-service orientation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
