The candidate will assist the hardware team to harvest inventions and maximize claims. Will play a key role in providing patent counseling and patentability analysis. Additional responsibilities: Researches prior inventions or similar inventions. Drafting patent applications, review, and prosecute patent applications. Communicates and collaborates with outside counsels on Intellectual Property related. Perform FTO search for competitive and infringement analysis. Identify potential risk and develop mitigation strategies. Member of IP team and manages CreateMe patent portfolio. Perform patent due diligence to support mergers and acquisitions. Develop best practices and SOP for Intellectual Property development for the company. Requirements: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Materials science, or related field. 10+ years experience in patent agent role. Previous experience working at patent law firms required. Familiarity or prior patent applications in these area: Hardware and software fields. Automation and robotics applications. Software algorithms and machine learning. 3D print technology. Manufacturing or fabrication processes. Strong communication skills, liaison with outside councils and leadership team.
