Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft motions.
• Prepare for and represent clients in court.
• Handle pre-trial hearings, including motions to suppress and set aside.
• Manage a trial docket and take cases to jury trial.
• Maintain communication with clients, supporting their emotional and legal needs.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Texas Criminal Law and Procedure.
• Experience with contested motions and trials.
• Proven trial skills and experience managing a criminal trial docket.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong sense of ethics and commitment to client confidentiality.
• Willingness to seek feedback and ask questions.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a team environment.
• Ability to work in-person in San Antonio, Texas.
• Spanish fluency is helpful but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.
