Duties

• Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal matters.
• Appear in court for arraignments, pretrial conferences, motion hearings, probation violation hearings, and sentencing.
• Draft and argue motions, including suppression and evidentiary motions.
• Conduct legal research and case strategy analysis.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and expectations.
• Negotiate plea agreements with prosecutors when appropriate.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist in jury trials as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation.

Requirements

• Active Arizona Bar license (required).
• 2+ years of criminal defense or relevant litigation experience.
• Courtroom experience preferred (public defender, prosecutor, or private defense).
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Arizona Bar license.
