Administrative Legal Specialist

Duties: Provides full paralegal support to the Office of the General Counsel, including litigation duties (verifying proper service of process on Registered Agent, managing the legal hold/preservation notice process and responding to subpoenas and records requests); reviewing documentation to determine status of independent contractors; providing support regarding garnishments, wage levies and bankruptcy matters; responding to background investigation requests for students applying for federal government positions; maintaining sales tax exemption files for the states in which has exemption status and conducting legal research.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/Equivalent and seven (7) years directly-related legal assistant/paralegal experience

Paralegal Certificate

Notarial Commission or ability to obtain commission within 6 months of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors or Associates Degree

Knowledge of iManage (document management software)

Experience with on-line legal databases and/or electronic filing systems
