Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney to join its practice group in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a background in defending medical malpractice cases and will benefit from a hybrid working schedule, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Duties

• Travel as required for case needs.
• Interact with insurance claims representatives for case assessment and strategy.
• Handle own files and matters independently.
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions.
• Engage and prepare experts, including disclosures and reporting.
• Manage all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation.
• Draft and argue pre-trial motions.
• Oversee large document production and database management.
• Lead mediations as first chair.
• Delegate tasks to paralegals effectively.
• Conduct trials or arbitrations as first chair.
• Manage schedule and payment claims.
• Participate in marketing and business development activities.
• Draft publications, articles, or legal presentations.

Requirements

• Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Colorado.
