Duties

• Manage a caseload of 25-30 matters.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings and mediations.
• Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Conduct complex legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft discovery requests and responses.
• Review and analyze documents for production.
• Investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies.
• Report to insurance carrier clients and insureds.
• Work on all aspects of litigation from initial pleading through trial or mediation.
• Manage and supervise associates and paralegals.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in New York.
• J.D. obtained in 2016 or earlier.
• Litigation experience.
• Experience taking depositions.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
