    • Track changes in laws and regulations that impact M&A practice.
    • Prepare summaries and alerts to ensure the team is informed of new legal developments.
    • Integrate new legal requirements into existing practice resources.
  • Legal Education:

    • Coordinate with the legal education team to create training content for associates and other firmwide learning initiatives related to M&A.
  • Marketing and Business Development:

    • Collaborate with the M&A marketing team on promoting the practice.
    • Assist in creating content for marketing materials, such as blog posts, presentations, pitches, and articles.
  • Assisting Individual Attorneys:

    • Provide day-to-day support for attorneys’ requests for precedents, templates, and other necessary resources.
  • New Initiatives:

    • Contribute to practice innovation and knowledge management projects as they arise.
  • Other Duties:

    • Perform additional tasks as required to support the M&A team.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • At least 7 years of experience in a U.S.-based M&A corporate/transactional practice.
    • Proficient understanding of both public and private M&A, corporate governance, and board fiduciary duties.
    • Strong drafting and organizational skills are essential.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent attention to detail, especially in document drafting and quality control.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple, ongoing projects.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in handling evolving resource initiatives.
    • Strong team collaboration skills; ability to work closely with other attorneys and stakeholders.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy and quality in all drafted forms and documents.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage and prioritize various ongoing projects.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to take on new tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaboration: Effective team player, working alongside colleagues to achieve goals.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs) for health and dependent care.
  • Life insurance, long-term care coverage, and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation, 2 weeks of sick leave, and 10 paid holidays per year.
  • Generous parental leave and fertility benefits.
  • Short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) coverage.
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits.
  • Backup care for children and adults, along with additional parental support services.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to make a significant impact within a growing legal team, contributing to cutting-edge M&A work and supporting ongoing innovations in legal practice.
