Job Title: Business Litigation Counsel

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Denver, CO, is actively seeking a seasoned litigation professional to join its commercial litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on complex matters, while also leading key aspects of case management. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in handling property-related insurance disputes and class actions and should possess a strong commitment to excellence in legal advocacy and client service. Duties:

• Take an active lead in managing litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Handle depositions (both taking and defending), court appearances, mediations, and expert coordination

• Oversee legal strategy and documentation for multiple simultaneous cases

• Collaborate with partners and utilize junior attorneys for delegated tasks, such as research and drafting

• Deliver high-quality oral and written advocacy in state and federal proceedings

• Work directly with clients and external stakeholders on complex litigation matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in the following areas:

  • First-party commercial and residential property insurance claims

  • Insurance coverage litigation

  • Class actions involving insurance matters

• Demonstrated capacity to manage several cases independently and concurrently

• Strong courtroom presence and deposition skills

• Proficient in working within team-based environments

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active admission to the Colorado State Bar, or eligibility for immediate admission

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical abilities

• Strong oral advocacy and persuasive communication

• Ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines

• Sound judgment in high-stakes litigation environments

• Team-oriented mindset with leadership capability
