A law firm in San Francisco, California is seeking a Mid-to-Senior level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The candidate will handle cutting-edge labor and employment litigation matters involving a diverse range of high-profile clients and topics. The role will focus on defending clients in various actions, including single and multi-plaintiff cases, class actions, and PAGA litigation, as well as providing comprehensive employment-related advice and counsel. The candidate must possess a Juris Doctor degree, be licensed to practice law in California, and demonstrate excellent analytical and writing skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to client service and practice development.

 

Duties:

  • Handle labor and employment litigation matters involving high-profile clients and diverse legal topics.
  • Defend clients in single and multi-plaintiff actions in court and arbitration.
  • Represent employers in class and PAGA employment litigation.
  • Investigate and respond to administrative charges.
  • Provide advice and counsel to clients on a range of California-based employment issues.
  • Prepare employment handbooks, policies, and provide training to managers and employees.
  • Engage in day-to-day client advisory services and practice development.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience practicing in labor and employment law, with a strong focus on California employment law preferred.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law and in good standing in California.
  • Civil litigation and/or trial experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Passion for client service and practice development.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in California.
