A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Tampa, FL. This full-time, in-office position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in personal injury law, with proven litigation skills in trial and mediation settings.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to inform case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and court filings.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Represent clients at hearings, inspections, mediations, and trial.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Stay current with changes in case law, procedural rules, and industry developments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure strategic alignment and case readiness.
• Maintain accurate time records and meet billable hour requirements (minimum 150 hours/month).

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• At least 5 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
• Must have tried a minimum of three cases.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of insurance defense case law.
• Experience handling all phases of trial litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
